OUTREACH PROGRAMS
Numerous studies have shown that arts education is essential for developing
fully formed, well-rounded students. Students who receive exposure to both the
applied and the performing arts learn valuable skills in the areas of critical
thinking, creative problem solving and social interaction. These skills are
essential to insure future success.
Mystic Ballet is committed to helping provide students with opportunities to
experience and learn about ballet.
Working with schools, Mystic Ballet offers a variety of programs designed to
broaden student horizons and give them creative learning opportunities they
may not otherwise receive in their academic career.
For all of our Discover Dance Programs, Mystic Ballet's Education Department
provides handy supplemental study guides, which contain ballet-specific information
along with material on ballet, dance and music.

In addition Mystic Ballet wishes to share a love of dance with the broadest
possible audience. Each year the Company offers students, community and children's
organizations the opportunity to obtain group tickets for performances at no
cost or deeply discounted prices.
We offer two performances of Dance Me a Story - Family Series and one Community
Matinee during the repertory season, all performed at the Garde Arts Center
- New London.
These projects are made possible by grants from The Community Foundation, state
agencies, Pfizer and Liberty Bank.
