ABOUT THE SCHOOL
The School's mission is to train pre-professionals as well as those interested
in developing an appreciation of dance as an art form and enjoyable recreational
activity. School of Mystic Ballet offers classes for students ages three and
a half through college, who wish to dance simply to enjoy the many benefits
of high quality classes, as well as those who wish to pursue a professional
career in ballet and dance.
In 1997, Academy of Ballet & Performing Arts, Dance Palace became the School
of Mystic Ballet. Young people studying at the School of Mystic Ballet have
the advantage of being surrounded by the excitement and example of the professional
dance world.
School of Mystic Ballet is a state-of-the-art institution located in Stonington.
Facilities include three fully equipped large air-conditioned studios with specifically
designed sprung dance floors, dressing rooms, costume shop, audio-visual equipment,
and all studios are equipped with a video monitoring system so that parents
can observe the class in the lobby through a TV monitor. The School of Mystic
Ballet is conveniently located off I-95, Exit 90, Mystic. The new facility is
surrounded by a nature preserve, providing a safe and inspiring atmosphere.
Local public school busses have a safe drop off point in front of the School
of Mystic Ballet.
